Your Answer part 3

Here’s everything you need to know about your journey to inner wealth

What is Inner Wealth?

Inner Wealth is what outer wealth promises, but seldom delivers—that sense of well being, of confidence, of knowing who you are and not being pushed out of the way by something or someone who wants to make you into something else.

Inner Wealth is the opposite of inner poverty. What is inner poverty? Underneath all the pretension, all the performance, the posturing, the bravado, you feel needy, incomplete, inadequate. Inner poverty leaves you feeling afraid, abandoned, shameful, powerless, confused, inadequate, hopeless, and bitter.

Inner Wealth transfers the power back to you. Your old enemies no longer have the power to control your happiness. You are stronger than your circumstances, now able to approach all of life from a position of strength. Joy and peace dominate your emotions despite life’s challenges.

Let’s look at some examples:

Forgiving others: Inner poverty makes it hard (impossible) to forgive because someone hurt you, and you are NOT okay unless they pay for what they did. Inner Wealth makes it easy to forgive; you are 100% okay because you don’t need anything from that person who hurt you in order to be whole.

Temptation, sin, addiction: These things pull hard at you with inner poverty; they promise what they can’t deliver. Inner Wealth breaks the power of these things because you don’t need what they promise.

Anger: You need anger to protect you when you suffer from inner poverty. Inner Wealth sets you free from that need. You may still get angry (Jesus did), but you don’t stay angry.

Anxiety and worry are common symptoms of inner poverty. As you move toward Inner Wealth, anxiety and worry typically evaporate, displaced by a deep sense of inner peace.

God: God feels far away when you suffer from inner poverty, but it’s totally the opposite with Inner Wealth. You love welcoming God’s presence into your life; you’ve experienced His love, and knows He loves hanging out with you.

Is Inner Wealth found in the Bible? Yes. Absolutely. It is found throughout the Bible. If you want to start to study it, consider these passages: John 10:10, Luke 12:15, Proverbs 4:23, Proverbs 15:15, Galatians 5:22-23, John 8:32, Romans 14:17, and the list goes on.

Inner Wealth is seeing everything through God’s eyes. Inner Wealth is experiencing life as God intended—filled with meaning.

Do you experience any of these symptoms?

yes no You have people in your life who really irritate or intimidate you. (I sure did. Mr. X was just one example. There were many more.)

yes no You have problems in your life that just won’t go away. (Again, I had a long list.)

yes no You find yourself sabotaging your own success in your career or in your relationships. (Sometimes I watched myself do it, and I couldn’t even believe I was doing what I was doing.)

yes no You experience anxiety, shame, or other negative emotions. (For me, it was invalidation. So many times when I was a child, I heard the phrase: “What’s the matter with you?” I really believed, deep inside, that something was wrong with me, that I wasn’t good enough.)

yes no Your prayers seem to be going no where. (Many times I felt like God was manning the heavenly call center turning down all of my prayer requests because they weren’t His will. I had no idea that God wanted to be my friend.)

yes no It’s easy for you to find what’s wrong in people and things, but hard for you to find what’s right. (Wow! Was that ever me! Instant critic. Constant complainer. I tried to be positive, but it was a lost cause. What did Jesus say? “From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.”)

yes no You look at your faith and wonder, “Is this all there is?” (Again, I’ve been there. It was like my eyes were closed to the heart of God.)

yes no You struggle with temptation, sin, or addiction—including—but not limited to—porn, gambling, compulsive risk taking, overeating, sex, drug, and drinking addictions. (It seemed like I was on this endless treadmill of sin, confess, sin, confess. There seemed no way off until I discovered Inner Wealth…)

Did you answer “yes” to any of those items? Does that mean that you are somehow wrong or inferior or inadequate?

No.

Not at all. It just means you’re a real human being just like all the rest of us trying to navigate through a broken, messed-up world.

And, it means, you are on a journey from inner poverty to Inner Wealth, and I want to give you some little-known, but highly-helpful skills that will help you on your journey.

But know this first:

  • You can understand what happened to you; you can understand exactly why you do the crazy things you do. But that insight will never fix anything. You can have more insight than a PhD psychologist, but that insight doesn’t give you back the power that is rightfully yours.
  • You can try really, really hard to change. But even if you set goals and sprint through them, you will never change you on the inside. Willpower doesn’t make the world okay when your mind is racing at three o’clock in the morning.

Something else is needed.

Inner Wealth is needed.

And you only get that Inner Wealth directly from God Himself.

Yes, this is Christian. No, you don’t need to be Christian to participate, but you gotta be wide open to letting Jesus do what only Jesus can do.

What is Inner Wealth and how does it work?

I can explain Inner Wealth in 7 words:

Hand your head trash over to Jesus

There. Simple, huh?

Not really.

It takes most people weeks to figure out how to do that—if they’re being coached. If you’re not being coached, then good luck! It took me 35 years to find this. But that’s only Part 1. One you figure out how to do it, then you gotta learn what to do with what you got.

Here’s where most people go awry.

Without Inner Wealth training, most people don’t “get it.” Most people who experience these encounters with Jesus plug them into the wrong framework, and get sucked into the same self-defeating mindset that dominated their lives before they met with Jesus.

Like the woman who won a new smart phone and two years of cell phone service—and used her new phone as a paperweight.

She had no idea what she had. She didn’t get it.

Most people don’t get it.

I don’t like that. I think everybody should get it.

That’s why I created the Inner Wealth subscription for you.

Here’s what you get with your Inner Wealth subscription:

Your Inner Wealth subscription is delivered to your inbox daily. Here’s what you get:

#1 Overcoming Life’s 7 Biggest Challenges

You get online instruction in Overcoming Life’s 7 Biggest Challenges including

Inner barriers. How many times have you been held back by something inside that blocks you from achieving your goals? Here’s how to to disable that inner saboteur.

Life controlling issues. Porn. Overeating. Or whatever. Addictions and life-controlling issues conspire to ruin your life. You can overcome them, but you can’t use the tired try harder method. It doesn’t work. You need something much, much stronger.

Disabling beliefs. We all have them. They mess with your head, and drive down your quality of life. Your journey toward Inner Wealth pulls these weeds from your mind, but again, the methods most people use simply don’t work. You need stronger tools.

(The steps and additional information are available on the Inner Wealth resource page that goes with this video.)

Painful past. All of us drag painful memories around with us. But how do you overcome their gravitational pull? Just trying to forget will not work. Sure, you might not consciously think about them, but they’re still there, doing damage to your life and your relationships every day. You need an entirely different approach that disables the power of a painful past forever.

Bitterness and anger. Author Anne Lamott wrote, “Not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and then waiting for the rat to die.” Bitterness tears us up inside. But there is a way out. What is humanly impossible becomes easy when Jesus enters the equation. But you gotta know how to make this work.

Difficult emotions. Fear. Shame. Invalidation. Hopelessness. The list goes on. We’ve all felt yucky emotions like these. And they have enormous power to muddy up our lives, warp our values, drag us down. But there is a way out. I’ll give you specific, step-by-step instructions for how to disable these damaging emotions.

Difficult people. We wish we could just make them go away. But sometimes we can’t. Here’s what to do instead.
