Lesson Twelve: Spiritual Self Defense

Welcome to Lesson Twelve!

The real you

Years ago I read the story of an American army officer who was a prisoner of war in the Far East during World War II. For years he and his fellow prisoners has been brutalized by his captors. But one day, he marched into the office of commandant of the prisoner of war camp and announced, “I am taking command of this camp.” The commandant relinquished command immediately.

What happened? Very simple. The war was over. America had won; the captors had lost. That American officer understood who he was. He was on the winning side. He was now the ranking officer of that camp.

Understanding who you are will empower you to live on a whole different level. We addressed this last time in our video, which I’ll repost here:

If the video doesn’t show up on your screen, here’s a link so you can watch it on YouTube.

Here’s a link to page 161 containing the prayer I mentioned in the video.

Congratulations! Lesson Twelve complete!
In Lesson Thirteen, we turn the corner and begin discussing Spiritual Self Defense tactics. We’ll cover how you are designed to win this fight, why you don’t need to perform or pretend, and an amazing new way of looking at repentance.
Look forward to seeing you next time!
Dwight
