Answers to “Check your understanding” questions
Your first truth experience
Let’s start the reading (link above) with Sections 5.5.D. and 5.5.E. on pages 176–181, and then complete the following questions:
Group discussion pp. 233–235 question 1. Did you go after a truth experience with Jesus? How did that go for you? (see pages 176-182)
Group discussion pp. 233–235 question 2. What was your takeaway from the Cameron/Pat example? (Section 5.5.E.) (see pages 179-182)
Group discussion pp. 233–235 question 3. How and why will going after a truth experience look a little different each time for each person?
(We’ve hinted at this in various places throughout these lessons. We are complex human beings, and God honors that complexity. Each of us is unique, and this process will look a little different for each person.)
Check your understanding pp. 231–232 question 16. Where can you see more examples of people going after truth experiences with Jesus? (see page 181)
Spiritual Self Defense demo
In our video today, Kim and Liza demonstrate the process of going after a truth experience from Jesus. Again, remember, this will look a little different each time for each person.
