Book Writing and Rewriting Service

Dwight-at-Cherokee
“Work with me and your book will get done.”

I custom design my service for you to meet your needs, your budget, your schedule.I help Christian leaders and anyone with a positive message or story. I work on inspirational, life story, Christian testimony, leadership, educational, self improvement, Bible study and related books.

I write, rewrite or edit your book for you

Many best selling authors and Christian leaders hire someone to write their books for them. It’s a great way to multiply your influence and reach more people. If you speak or lead, it makes sense to transform your sermons, your vision, your story into a book that you can give to first time visitors, make available to donors, use as a small group study, sell at a back table, or make available on Amazon or Kindle.

If you work with me, your book will get done. All rights will belong to you, and you won’t get locked into a contract that you can’t walk away from. I’m not only a national award winning writer with over 25 years of experience, but I’m also a committed Christian specializing in Christian inspirational, devotional, life story, testimony, leadership, Bible study, self improvement and educational books.

I’m best known for my ability to write inspirational stories. For example, my story, “Good News of Great Joy” was published in Jesus is the Reason for the Season by Summerside Press alongside entries from O. Henry, J. I. Packer, Peter Marshall, Charles Dickens and Mother Theresa.

Here are your options.

Writing. I write your book for you based on your presentations, your notes, our conversations, additional research or whatever. You don’t need to write anything. I can usually write your book in about six months; sometimes faster, consulting with you frequently throughout that time. Revisions are a normal part of the process. My fee is based on the number of words, and you can pay in installments. This is your logical choice if you are a busy person and you don’t want to write this book yourself. You get the most value for your money going this route.

Rewriting. Rewriting works with the ideas behind the words of your completed book manuscript. To rewrite your book, I take the time to solidly understand your message, and find ways to better convey your ideas. If you look at your completed manuscript and think, This could be better said, then choose rewriting. I can usually rewrite your book in about three months; sometimes faster, consulting with you frequently throughout that time. Revisions are a normal part of the process. My fee is based on the number of words, and you can pay in installments.

Editing. Editing works with words, grammar, punctuation of your existing book manuscript. If you look at your book and think, This is what I want, but I just want it polished, then choose editing. I may outsource this function. Although this is the cheapest, you also get the least amount of help. Choose editing if you are a confident writer with a strong book manuscript.

Here’s my fee schedule. You choose the services that make sense for you, and I never pressure you into anything. I’m easy to work with.

Your story can change lives. You can make a difference, and your book can advance your cause, extend your influence, strengthen your credibility allowing you to reach new audiences, access new opportunities and make a difference in your world.

Your dream of writing a book can really happen. It starts here with a simple email. We’ll move forward at a pace that’s comfortable for both of us. Start by telling me a little bit about your project, and I’ll help you identify next steps that make sense for your goals and your budget.

More about Dwight Clough

I’m a national award winning writer, and I’ve written books, letters, fliers, resumes and web pages for thousands of clients since 1983. My clients have included a peak performance coach, nonprofit ministries, an architect, a microbiologist, pastors, an evangelist / prophet, survivors of abuse, and more—ordinary people and “celebrities.”

Here’s what people are saying about me.

“It was such a great experience working with you. I know that the whole site, and ESPECIALLY the cemetery piece, is anointed because of your anointing. Please accept my most heartfelt thanks for all you have done (and for being so patient)! I know it was incredibly hard to “write for a writer” and you met the challenge—and exceeded my expectations. You can be sure that you’ll be hearing from me soon …”
Kathie Torres

“I have known Dwight Clough for 30 years – including many years working together – he is a creative and godly man of integrity … He is also a talented (and published) writer that I would recommend highly.”
Al Schirmacher, Pastor, and former President, Career Counseling & Search

Will I steal your idea?

No. Here’s why: I don’t have your expertise. I don’t have your experience. Therefore, I cannot write with your authority, unless we agree to collaborate on a book together. In other words, I don’t have the ability to steal your idea. Moreover, I don’t have the time. With so many ideas of my own that I’m excited about, I really don’t need any ideas from anyone else. My current solo project is a paraphrase of the Bible, and that’s going to keep me occupied for a long time. So unless that’s your idea, we’re probably safe. Finally, it’s not in my character to steal ideas. I’m a win-win person. I like arrangements where everybody comes out ahead. If, for any reason, I think there’s any conflict of interest between your idea and anything I’m working on, I’ll let you know immediately.

Do I charge a fee?

Yes, I do. This is how I make my living. The amount depends on the type of service you want. Keep in mind that if you use your book to promote your business, my entire fee may be a tax write off. Here’s my fee schedule.
