What this is
This will be a full-length motion picture designed for theatrical and DVD release. If you want real life, raw, gritty, miraculous, supernatural, tug-at-your-heart transformation, then fasten your seat belt, this is your movie. Think of this as a Christian version of Slum Dog Millionaire with elements of Freedom Writers thrown into it. So far, everybody I've talked to who has read this true story has been powerfully impacted by it.
We have an opportunity to tell a truly life changing story, and we want to tell it very, very well. We don't want to make a slick commercial for Christianity that nobody really believes. We expect to post a video soon with more information.
This movie is an opportunity to change the way people think and feel about God. It is an opportunity to call people out of a life of brokenness, into the healing presence of Jesus. We want to do this right and impact one million lives.
Why this film?
Millions of people have given up on God and on themselves. This story will rekindle hope where hope has been lost. This story will bring people out of hiding. God is using this story and will use this film to energize and empower the church to break free from the shackles of religion, and embrace the overlooked and forgotten among us. You will walk away from this film a changed person.
Who are the players?
This love story within a love story revolves around the inspirational true life experiences of Tabatha, a woman who experienced a profound transformation and overcame a tragic and difficult past. The film will be loosely based on her book, Lies, Pain and a Promise.
